Our Story

La Boulangerie (formerly La Boulange) has been operating in the Bay Area since 1996, founded by French baker Pascal Rigo.

Our mission has always been to offer great food at an affordable price to as many people as possible. Since our humble beginnings on Fillmore street in San Francisco, we bake everything with love and joy, and - in the very best of French traditions - plenty of pure butter. We take pride in our premium ingredients and longstanding relationships with our suppliers. We use expertly milled flour from American mills and partner with quality farms from around the corner and around the world to source ingredients. 

Today you can visit us at one of our cafe bakeries in the San Francisco Bay Area or enjoy a selection of breads, sweet and savory croissants, and more found in grocery stores across the US.
